Yet more festival...

Daddy bought me this really cool fairy crown. I met Linda the crown lady and she agreed with my mama that I am for sure the most beautiful thing in nature.
I took a snooze on mommy's belly in the shade.
And then we hung out and chatted with some other kids.
Finally we were on our way home. I hugged and kissed up my baby doll the whole ride home (well, at least until the Blasdell exit where I lost my witts. Can you blame me? 3 hours in a car is a long time!). I had an amazing day with my family!

More of the festival...

How cool are these living statues? I had no fear, just curiosity!
Check out the guy in the background taking a picture of me. People took my picture all day long. One couple stopped and asked if they could take my picture cause I was so cute. I was the life of the party!

The ladies had a blast with me and I was in awe!

The Renaissance Festival!

We took our first day trip today! What a blast! I did awesome in the car on our trip to Sterling. We spent the day partying with some strange characters, in fact her is one of them:) Daddy is planning our course. Mom thought he looked so hansome today!
First we stopped for a diper change and to nurse up, then...
Mommy was hungry, of course. She had a steak cabob and I ate her rice.

It was really sticky!

Papa calls this photo the circle of life- Great Gramma and I with
our walkers. I know I can beat her but I want to spare her feelings:)

Aunt Mel is my HERO

What more could a mother want for her daughter then to have strong, determined, powerful women to look up to? After setting this lofty goal, Aunt Mel trained for months and then kicked butt at the Tri in the Buff. Isn't she AMAZING?

When does this thing start? Oh, by the way, don't eat the sand
Aunt Mel. It doesn't taste so good- I know from experience!

Done with the first leg of the race! Onto the bike.

Reese is going to be just as strong as her mama one day!

THE FINISH! There she is- our triathlete.

Willow Knows Best

It continues to amaze me how babies have an inate ability to self regulate and find their perfect balance in all aspects of life. Whether it be eating, sleeping, or balancing mood, Willow always finds her way. She is constantly reminding me that less control is better. Coming from a former control addict, this is a serious area of growth. I am learning that when I offer Willow an environment of calmness and opportunity, she will sleep. When I listen to her nursing cues and make available healthy, yummy food she takes in what she needs. When I am peaceful and centered, she too can find peace and focus. It is amazing how this tiny being knows so much! May she always be so in-tune.
